Just how many sounds is my virus suppose to have?
 

Im confused and maybe someone can help me. I dont know how many sounds my virus is suppose to have.

I have the virus KC. I have 4 BANKS A-D

But can all these BANKS be erased with new sounds?

For example, I loaded some sounds into bank A, can I load sounds into other banks or is it just BANK A?? If I put sounds into bank A, where to I save my multis?

it's been a while, but I could have sworn that I had more banks than that with my virus c. you may just have to download the patch update from access's site.

Go to http://www.access-music.de

...and download OS v6.5 for Virus C/KC series. You will magicly be awarded Banks E-H.

They're pretty good, some repeats, some new, some interesting tweaks of old favorites.

If you're using PC the just set your system to use your MIDI interface and play (Open) the MIDI file/OS update from the Access site in Windows Media PLayer (while your C/KC is attahced to your PC/MIDI interface).

The Virus will blink...it will tell you not to touch it...be patient...the blinking lights will stop...now you 512 more presets and NO DEMO SONG!!!

That wont do it... You have to download the "1024 patches update for Virus c series" file at http://www.access-music.de/downloads...=viruskc#cat17 and update your Virus. This will expand your patch memory with banks E-H and but delete the demo song (it uses the memory where the demo songs is stored). Remeber to save all your patches cause the 1024 update will overwrite all banks...

...of course it´s a great idea to update with OS 6.5 also. It won´t solve this problem but it will give you Moog filters, EQ and some other features i can´t remeber. Do both...
