Snow Question
Im thinking of buying a Snow as my first bit of kit and have a question.
As the snow only has four parts, I know I could record say 16 parts into cubase as audio files, but would the computer lag behind or is this a sensible option? I have a laptop with a 2.2 dual core cpu & 2 gig of ram. |
wave audio playback = almost no CPU load.

Hi langer, cubase should have some sort of delay compensation that will keep your audio files and realtime audio from the snow in sync.

So the way I see it I want to use the Snow just to make music at home. So all things considered it is my first synth, I can layer as many tracks as I want in Cubase and also if I decide it's not for me the resale value on ebay will be the closest of the virus family to the purchase price, so the Snow is the best bet for me.
Do I need a special sound card for linking the Snow to the computer or can I just use the USB? Also does the USB work for audio outputs? Anyones views on this really appreciated? |
at last a question about the SNOW.. man, it seems the unit does not get talked about since it's release. love my snow by the way.
cubase can handle additional passes to increase parts with no prob. I am having a blast!!! |
usb is perfect for all your to and fro direct to cpu
