Hi,

That looks really interesting.

I recently sold my Virus C to fund a Sherman Filterbank 2 but I am missing having a hardware synth.

I started to try and decide between a TI Snow or a Dave Smith Prophet 08 module but other things are taking my cash. This might be a more affordable option for me.

Let us know what you think about it when it arrives.

Cheers,

Dave.

I hope they would do a new Pro One although it would be quite similar to the Mono evolver keyboard.

Good call. I'm thinking Dave Smith is doing a patriotic service to his fellow countrymen by offering Joe Sixpack something great and affordable while the crooked elitists and government appointed puppets purposely sink our economy. Not many can throw $1,400 + at a Snow when gas and groceries are kicking your ass all over the place. I'm glad I won my TI from a Nova Musik drawing!

I certainly will post my experience here for you guys. I'm looking forward to some low-key, headphone jam sessions at work with my office door closed.

Mine showed up yesterday afternoon. Serial #00050. I'm seriously impressed with this Mopho. It's got some major cajones and after hearing it I'm planning on hooking it up with the Virus and the MPC for my live rig. Skull crushing bass. Wonderfully buzzy saws that bite. Deeeeep kicks. The thing is a monster.

The ONLY part that rubs me the wrong way:
Although the free software editor (Mopho LE) gives you full control of the synth's parameters, it's missing Soundtower's Program Genetics (patch randomizing and morphing) which are probably included in the "Mopho Pro" editor (which of course costs extra).

For anyone who's just using a VA or synth plug-ins in their DAW: This will fill the gap and give you the thunder.

If I were Moog, Studio Electronics, Future Retro etc. I'd be worried about this thing taking a serious chunk of biznuss away. The sound is amazing, the features are plentiful and the price is stunning.

Hello,

I've just got my Mopho and my initial thoughts are this is fantastic

Very simple, great fun and sounds great.

I've just used it with my Sherman FB2 and I can't stop smiling!

This must be the bargain of the century.

Dave.
