Efficient Routing...

I'm having some difficulty with atomizer using my TI keyboard with ableton. I've searched the forums and haven't found an instance like this, so right now, what i am trying to do is... take the drums in channel 1(in ableton) and cue them out into the virus>mixer>monitors using my firewire sound card. I also have all of the other channels running dry into my mixer>monitors in a seperate channel on the mixer. For whatever reason the atomizer function is not working...why is this? I'm thinking this may be because i have my firewire soundcard set up as the audio I/O device(in ableton), but I need this to output my drums to the virus. Can someone offer a suggestion as to how Imight most efficiently route my signal to atomize just the drums using ableton, a firewire 4/10, my TI keyboard, a mixer, and my monitors...? thank you!

maybe take a pen and a piece of paper and do a draft for the signal routing.

this way you can easily see, where the problem with I/O should be.

Thanks. There was no flaw in my logic, I ended up using the virus and my firewire sound card as aggregate devices. All is well. Thanks again!

How on earth did you do that?? :O My Virus Ti Pølar doesn't show up in the list of deviced to combine, when I open the Aggregate Device option?

I'm running OS 10.5.6
