Snow Software Problems!

I have bought a Snow and am going mad!

I have downloaded the latest software 2.7.

When I install it the Snow is unplugged. When it's finished no icon appears on the desktop. Which I feel like is not installed properly.

When I connect the Snow it says no drivers, locate drivers, which can not be found.

Does anyone know what im doing wrong?

I am on Vista.

Software now sorted.

Next question how do I get the Virus to be reconised as a vst in Cubase 4?

Thanks

Sorry to say...but you're questions are perfectly explained in the manual provided with the software.
There are even movies which explain what to do.

Check you're Acces Music -> Virus TI -> Documents folders for all info.

If only it were that simple!

On the individual channels I can see the Virus, so can play through my midi keyboard.

However I am unable to select the virus from the devices / vst instruments in Cubase 4, it is just not showing.

I have updated the virus to 2.7.3 and am running cubase 4.52.

Any ideas on how to get the controller showing as a VST?

Checked if the Access Folder is part of your VSTi Folder? Otherwise I'd try to copy it manually...

I have now pasted the Virus TI folder into the Cubase VST pluggins folder and it now shows the TI as a VST.

However it will only show the virus as a vst when I have pre connected it to the virus control software before starting Cubase.

The snow only displays connected on the screen and the vst controller shows 16 parts instead of 4.

I can not load any patches from the controller and basically can not use the Snow when it's like this.

Any ideas on the next step.

I had this problem with Kore 2 it loaded Snow instaed of the TI plugin until I removed the "Virus TI Snow" DLL File, since I own a TI. In your case it would be the other file to remove.

Sorry I have lost you there Summo, thanks for the help though.

I think I will give access a ring or possibly the technical support people I bought the Snow from as I don't reaaly know what I am doing?

suma, what you suggest won't work in many cases. moving files around is a bad idea as much as deleting files. as long as you point the installer towards the _right_ directory, nothing mentioned above is necessary.
