Piano patch?

Hello guys, sorry about my complete ignorance but I never played before one Virus TI, I play sometimes Classic music and I need to know if this synth have piano option if is not I have to move my eyes to another keyboard for be my main unit. I checked on the updates but Access dont have online a list of patches for every update.

I played and studied piano for over 30 years starting with Classic, Jazz, Rock, Disco/Pop and actually electronic dance, I just explain this because someone can tell one Virus is not for play Classic or Jazz but sometimes I love play just piano.

Thank you.

In general synths aren't made for piano sounds, as well as piano aren't made for synth sounds ;) I remember that their is a usuable piano patch within the TI presets, but as far as I can tell this will not meet the requirements of a pianist, so in cases I need a piano sound tend to use a PCM based Soundgenerator like the Fantom XR instead.

Synths like the Virus cannot recreate piano or classical instruments. It cannot play samples.

You need a keyboard that plays samples (sometimes called 'ROMpler'), one that has lots of onboard memory that retains real samples of recorded instruments.

Ones that spring to mind: Yamaha Motif, Roland Fantom, Korg Triton or M3, or if you want JUST a realistic piano you need a digital piano instead. Of course you can also use software VSTi. Some piano VSTis are extremely detailed, incorporating many gigabytes of sample data, so these may be worth a look in if you are not playing out live.

In conjunction with what Timo said. If you do decide to go the vsti route, I highly recommend that you check out Synthogy's Ivory --> http://www.synthogy.com/

Thank you guys for put me on focus, anyways I love the Virus TI, some day...
but in the main time I have to find some rack mount hardware for emulate a piano because personally I dont like VST. Literally all the synthies today are software but that is other history.

Thank you guys.
