Lexicon PCM91

Some of you may have read my PCM81 thread.....well that unit is on its way back to Digital Village....

I have just bagged a new PCM91 from DV - list price was £999 (which is very competitive in the UK). But guess what I haggled them down to? £830.99!!!

I should be taking delivery of it by the end of next week....along with the Moog Old School.

Any other PCM91 users in here? What does everyone use for decent chorus, delay and phaser effects? Personally Im quite happy to use the onboard virus effects for that....as they sound nice to my ears....

Cheers

That is a very good price for that unit. The PCM91 is mainly for reverb, from what I've read - the other effects are... well, more than an afterthought, but not much more. You buy it for the reverb basically, which is lush and full of that "lexicon" tone (again, from what I've read...)

I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on how it performs :> Specifically I'd be very interested to know how it sounds on vocals, and on the Virus.

For my effects, I _was_ going to go with a PCM81...but now because of your thread I am unsure :S I still have a month or so to decide before it's time to buy it. Or alternatively I could delay buying the multifx for 6 months and instead get a really awesome distortion unit... hum..
