OS3: fewer bad experiences reported here this time around

Seems like there are fewer reported problems with OS3 around here, so I think its pretty good for a major new release. Access have got the hang of it now and banging out good release after good release.

Of course some have got problems, that was me a while ago too. But the software is now solid and the refreshed models seem to invigorate the range. The Virus is still the hottest synth and if you don't agree with me, step outside...

Agreed, Im usally a sceptic when it comes to beta versions but because of the good responses i took this one on, seems like its only getting better! :D

You can do that without worry, because it's only a matter of minutes to revert back to the old OS should you need to (which is what I did, because OS3 was not exactly usable yet with my Snow - I had to restart the snow every 2 minutes).

Ok, problem number one with XP and cubase 4.5.2.

Virus control says 'no virus TI connected'. :o

Going to uninstall and try again :D

Shambler 19.01.2009 11:38 AM

Nope, it is not liking it here, virus control can't find the virus even though XP found it and updated the firmware no probs.

Creeping back to 2.7.3

I had a similar problem too,on the same system, this is how i solved it. unplug Virus power, hold exit while plugging it back in and powering up, use virus control center to update firmware again and it works

Ok, will try again tomorrow...seems strange it doesn't work since the update process went smoothly enough.

I had the same problem too and solved it the same way but I still think the USB communication is rather flakey. Several times I have opened the Control and it has not been loading any of it's own patches but only those on the Ti hardware unit.

How do you go back to 2.7.3? Must admit I don't like the new Control look - I prefer the black and red look (more like my desktop) to the white and beige. Also I'm sure the graphics for the oscs and filters were bigger in the old version.
