Inspired to play something by von haulshoven and having 'done wine' for the last hour or so here is a piece I just hammered out on my kit, no editing involved, 'tis live!

2 arps on the VirusTI, a choral pad on the v-synth gt and a steel guitar on motif-rack xs.

I just selected the 4 tracks in cubase and played some notes to all 4 voices together, velocity switching did the job of cutting some sounds in or out.

I tend to do this often, i.e. get pissed and play something that comes from the heart, don't expect rigid timing or a perfect performance, I am just amazed I remembered how to switch on my synths in this state! Let alone upload it to my crap website :p

you mean the same notes you were playing on the steel guitar were triggering the the arp and pad?

Yes that's it, I was playing chords with the left hand and melody with the right and all of the notes were going to all 4 voices all on the same MIDI channel.

I often spend a few hours just playing like that when I'm mellowed out ;)
