Coolest name for a synth?
Virus.
Say it. Go on. I know you did it in private a lot when you first bought your one. Virus....VIRUS.... The name is awesome. Pronouncing it to friends is tricky without allowing myself a hint of relish. The word feels like sinking my teeth into something. It conjures up images of electronic skullduggery and a dark, technically advanced force of digital oblivion. I am a little ashamed to say the name was a factor (among many other factors) in my decision to buy this synth instead of something else. But is there a synth out there with a cooler name than Virus? Tell me your favourite synth names.. :> -Annikk |
yeah, Virus is awesome even as a name in itself
but there are other cool names, as Radias or Triton by Korg, or Andromeda. on the other side, I don't like Ensoniq FIZMO (?) and HALO (what's that? a videogame? :D) and Nordlead (sounds like I can play only lead parts, and only when standing in a freezer...) |
Strange to say the name Virus in itself isn't one of my faves, however when you put Access: on the front of almost any name I think it makes it uber.
Let's try, Access: *Asterix*. ;) One of my fave names for a Synth is Wavestation, how apt and futuristic is that name. Worst are things like DX7, G2, A6, WD40 etc. |

Evolver. Andromeda. DW-6000.

Access Synbiotic!!
I think an Access Synbiotic would be stellar! Everytime I rock my virus all the blinking lights make it look like it's running by itself kinda like it's own organizm. And if the removed the Panic option and you were not using a sequencer it wouldn't be so easy to stop on it's own!
Please feel free to take the idea....As long as you keep making kick ass gear you can rip me off all you want. Access = ,,,|. (^_^) .|,,, Number one in my book! |
Supernova :)

"purusha"

My own synth line
If I ever create my own synth line, I'm going to call it the "Bacterium" line.
