Virus TI Snow: Presets appear twice or more in the browser.

I just got myself a Virus Ti Snow, and automatically went for the last update, regarding Viruscontrol.

But here's one of my problems I'm experiencing.

About 50 % of all presetnames appear atleast twice in the browser.
But I think this varies for each time I turn it on, as I noticed a certain preset I liked, being located at number 89 in the arp presets, was at number 93, the next time I powered my Virus.

Ain't that weird!?

I too have the same problem with my Snow. Its damn annoying, an tbh hadn't got around to asking if anyone has the same issue.

I've seen duplicates in my own browser when I search for presets - generally as a result of the same preset being in a number of different sound banks - e.g. Virus Snow backup banks, and full TI banks.

Probably not what you're seeing but may posibly explain it?

yes, your VC will show it twice or more if you got a duplicate of the preset in other banks

Also put out the back up banks out of your patches folder. Otherwise they will show up in your VC, too

you always have a copy in RAM and a copy in ROM of almost every preset. thats normal. So you can modify the RAM preset as you wish while having a backup in ROM.

that is not a "problem", it is the way it is. right click on a patch in the search results will show you where the patch comes from... manual anyone?
