Greetings from NW UK
HI
A newbie to the list - I'm from North West UK near Manchester and a proud owner of a Access Polar (V1). I make the style of music to fill gaps in my collection and it ranges from atmospheric noodling to grungy twisted Indie - Whatever I am feeling at the time. I also play fretless bass and a little guitar (or as much as I need on a track) I've been away from music for quite a few years with a hectic job and family etc but now have the time and funds to set the studio up again. My current studio is based around Cubase 4 on a custom built Inta Audio PC with Focusrite Saphire Pro 40 interface & soft synths Arturia Analogue Experience etc, though I generally prefer good old hardware with the main ones I currently have below:- Access Polar (of Course) Dave Smith Instruments Poly Evolver Keyboard Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 08 Keyboard Waldorf Blofeld Keyboard Alesis Micron Use Audio Plugiator Module Korg X50 Korg Radias Keyboard and Rack Korg Ms2000 rack and Keyboard Versions. Moog Little Phatty Stage 2 Moog Moogerfoogers (Delay, Phaser, Ring Mod & Murf) Novation KS Rack Roland JV1080 Module Always adding to the set up when I can with my current wish list (lust list) of:- Moog Voyager Arturia Origin Module and many more (an unhealthy obsession looking at Synths on Ebay) So greetings to all... Thanks Mike |

Hi
Nice to hear from you - The Korg MS is indeed a great piece of kit and works especially well with the keyboard and module together doubling voices etc. I mostly use it for bass & clav sounds to give a percussive element behind bass lines as well as pads and strings etc. I've always felt that the MS and X50 are both underrated and most importantly sit well in the mix. |

MS2K rocks! I'm a big fan of it for many purposes. It makes a great dedicated bass kbd, but is capable of so much more! It would be wonderful if it had twice the polyphony. I was hoping they'd beef it up with the MS2KB, but no dice. Still sounds great. Probably the piece of Korg gear I have the fewest complaints about.
