Virus MIDI control with Finale
 

I am trying to use the Virus as a MIDI controller for input into Finale PrintMusic on a MacBook. I am using the Virus as a soundcard, and that works just fine. However, I cannot get it to send MIDI note commands into Finale over the USB. I had this working on my PC, but I was not using the Virus as a soundcard. I think that it is probably a Mac issue, because I just can't seem to figure out that MIDI configuration dialog. Has anyone done this?

Are you able to use virus as midi controller in another applications?

Yes, I successfully recorded MIDI via the USB into Live. I didn't have to mess around with that OS-X MIDI configuration dialog at all. Live just worked.

I never used Finale and I'm not a Mac user, but I think Finale MIDI input settings is the problem.

Does the MIDI over USB on the Virus mirror the MIDI in/out ports? In the manual, I see several references to the MIDI in/out ports, and I was wondering if these also apply to the USB MIDI.
