Virus and Logic

So I can get sound out of my snow when I add a software instrument and open up Ti control software in logic and add midi.

I am wondering how I can run it as an external synth or how I can just record the synth into logic when playing in TI Control mode

If you want to run it as an external synth, then disconnect the USB cable, and hook it up via MIDI to your soundcard's MIDI output. Use standard jack leads to feed the Snow audio output into spare audio inputs on your soundcard. Be aware that you will suffer some sort of latency and you might need to compensate for it.

When you're using the synth in Virus Control mode, the track you insert it onto as a plugin will receive the audio output. If you solo this track, then bounce the channel "output 1-2" (in realtime - not offline) you should get a recording, which can then import back into your project.

So it makes sense to use Virus Control then to avoid latency correct?

Ok so say I ad the software instrument track, then start VC up on that track, Do I have to hit record to hear the virus play? The only way I get sound on that track is if there is midi on it so Im assuming to hear it realtime I need to arm the track as well as hit record? If so how can I play the Virus with VC Control in a more impromtu way?
