TI sound card & VLC glitch

hi
im running OS X 10.4.11
i have the latest TI update v3.something

my issue is that no sound comes out when i try to use VLC media player
the TI sound card wont play sound coming from an .avi file either, even out of Quick Time

its the TI i have double and triple checked with other sound cards

anyone ever had this problem ????

any help would be great

Set your TI as the default sound card.....or maybe change the setting in VLC!

I used to have the same problem with WINAMP at one time!

good to know im not totally alone

ive been testing it some more with different apps / games / etc
a fair few games do the same thing , no sound

it could have someything to do with surround sound options....Maybe it's using the virus as front channel and you are not getting rear channel.....and if the program your running is setup to run in surround it could just not be picking it up!(also a problem I ran into!)
