Virus TI out of tune?
Hi all
I have a Virus TI KB with OS 3.0.3.00 installed. I bought it used recently, but now I realize that the synth is not in tune?! It affects all the sounds - and they all seem to be half a note + some semitones below the tune they should be in. How can that be? Transpose is set to "0". Master Tuning is set to "0". Pure Tuning is set to "Tempered". I am looking forward to hearing from you. |

Tuning should be back to normal then. |

I had a similar problem, turned out to be a clock issue.
Switch the sampling frequency to 48 and back to 44.1, this fixed it for me. |

No, that was before I upgraded to 3.0.3.
Marc, if you're interested in details: At home, my Virus is synced to the soundcard (Motu Ultralite mk3). I don't know exactly what happened - apparently, the soundcard inadvertently switched the virus to 48 kHz. When I unplugged it and went to a gig, it was out of tune. I was desperately rebooting the Virus (as was suggested to the OP) and checking global tuning - until it occurred to me to check the sampling rate. Two clicks and voila! it was back to normal. Anyway, what I've learned is: if your Virus is 1.5 semitones out of tune, it must be confused about its sampling rate. snifx, please let me know if this helps you. best regards, Boris. |

I've had the problem as well for the first time in 3.00.3
It stated after i imported a 48khz file and my Cubase clock was changed when opneing a new project the tuning stayed off. Yogether with losing sync and chocking and recovering. the reset function did the trick. |

The sampling frequency seemed to be the problem - even though I am using OS 3.0.3. After switching back and forth between 44.1 KHz and 48 KHz the problem disappeared! Thanks again! :p |
