Some virus sequenceing
I've been working with the Virus TI Desktop for some time now.(With Live 6) I used to use the Virus B Rack. Have switched up since then.
I've made this over time. Everything is the virus other than the drums which I did in Reason. The tracks output is a little over driven. I did the recording and filters and all live, so my mistake on the output level. You'll also hear a small crunch somewhere in the middle there, thanks to the glitchy moments the Virus has at times. I feel I need to go back and make the drums a bit more exciting, but over all, I am pleased. http://www.arikburns.com/music/Arik1.mp3 Thanks for any comment. -Arik |
Great Track!

I like it - a lot. I like the drums a lot, too. Is this all virus ti or are some of the tracks the virus b?
|
Thanks for sharing, i really enjoyed it, likewise for your other tunes! (^_^)

I'm glad everyone enjoyed. Makes me happy to have gotten better at this over time.
This was just the Virus TI Desktop, no virus b here anymore. |
This is great track indeed!
As for overdriven sound - working in ableton I engage (saved with the template) easy to use ableton parametric EQ and vsts PC-2 compressor and Barricade limiter, as well as spectrum analyzer on master track so it is really easy to avoid any cliping and check dynamics. Latest ableton version has all these things built in. |
I have ableton version 6.
Do the newer ones have some type of audio exporting function? I currently have to use audio hijack on my mac with the soundflower plugin to hijack the audio and record to a file. -Arik |
You can export audio in live 6, File/Render to disk ;)
|
It actually says, when you try to render, that you cannot 'live' render the virus ti. It's not supported under version 6 anyhow.
