a good synthesis book

Hi guys just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to a good training book on synthesizers and synthesis. I do have quite a few synths and plugins ect i more or less know my way around them but want to know more about techniques ect.

Really want some thing that has examples that you can easily follow and learn to create sounds as you read like the logic book which i also have.

thanks alot Jamie

For me (as a relatively newbee) the book "Powertools for Synthesizer programming" by Jim Aikin was a great help

I also bought "Making a noise" by Simon Cann... and althought the book contains alot of information I think he refers too much to the VSTs he uses in the book all the time.

I ordered "Welsh' synthesizer cookbook", anyone here has read it?
