Mpc + Kc

Hello,

I have a question regarding some compatability issues.

I own a MPC2000xl that is currently sick(bad drive) and the Midi works fine with the KC. However, I may have to upgrade to a newer padded MPC1000 or 2500.

Now, I once owned an MPC500 and the two were not compatable. This was most frustrating after my purchase.

I'm wondering, has anyone used both the KC + MPC 1000 or 2500? Any Midi issues??

I have a MPC1000 (one of the latest with the new pads and latest OS) and a Desktop C and they work fine together.

What exactly do you mean by "not compatible"? MIDI is MIDI, after all.

I'm sequencing Virus TI from MPC1000, works fine.

@boreg- I was referencing the communication(to KC) with 500, not the 1000. The midi from 500 to KC didnt work! Midi is Midi, but I tried and tried and these two would not talk a whisper. Still strange to me. My an1x and 500 talked.
