USB? Virus TI2
Hi,
I own a virus TI2 and was wondering wich samplerate and bitdepth the virus streams towards my pc via USB. Anyone any idea? Its not in the manual. I only found the quality of the a/d d/a convertors... The quality of the D/A converter should be 192khz 24/bit. In the config menu you can set audio clock to 44.1, 48 khz or synced host What if I sync to host and host is for example 88.2khz??? What is the bitdepth and samplerate of the 3USB outputs? I'm just a little bit confused:p |
Pretty sure USB is locked to 44.1KHz @ 16-bit. That's the limitation of the USB connection.

Timo is right, even though I feel the vsti plugin adds dither so that the steams appear to be 32bit, but they sound 16bit when you add loads of compression etc.

so... would recording or just streaming the sound of the virus from the analog outputs thru (for example a motu) be more qualitative??? Or not?
You then can convert it to 24bitstream into your computer and not 16 thru the usb??? Because the D/a converter is 24 bit in the virus... So that analog signal would be of better quality in first place... I think... I hope... I have no idea... |
