Unsolved: Recording TI arp notes in ableton 8.1.1
 

Hello,
Im trying to record the virus ti arpeggiator notes for further editing and to drive other hardware synths in ableton 8.1.1. I have the virus ti setup in ableton with multiple midi tracks playing the ti plugin ( the virus is connected via USB) and ive created a separate midi track to record the arp. midi notes onto , i am on a odd virus track and i will go to the config menu on the hardware synth and enable arp notes send function. Then i will record enable the midi track which is configured: midi from: virus synth . This midi track has midi output set to no midi output! But when the arp notes send function is enabled the arp doesnt play properly and notes are sticking . Can someone please explain how to record the virus arp midi notes as individual notes of the arp. patch not just the source notes if you know what i mean! Thanks Shane

It seems to be a bug with Ableton. It works fine in Logic 9. I tried all possible combinations with Ableton, nothing letting the Arp MIDI through.

I'll try and make a bug report with Ableton in their forums, hopefully they fix it in the next bugfix release.
