Transpose send MIDI?
Does the transpose/octave buttons on the Ti send octave change information to other hardware synths / softsynths?
|
I think I have a setting on my KB for this, I`d have to check first though.
My guess is no, and if it is a setting on my KB, i bet it`s on the TI too. |
Maybe I should make my question clearer;
If I control another synth with the KB and press the transpose up button (set to ocataves) will it play the currently played note on my other synth an octave higher? |
Yes it should unless you have that particular parameter set to ignore on your receiving synth or maybe the sysex is ignored in your daw.
In essence the answer is yes it should. |
Thanks.
My old Indigo SHOULD send the information, too, but it doesn't. ;) Surprised all you tech heads don't do this regularly with your softsynths. Agreed there is less use for it using a 61 note keyboard, but still.... |
Hmmmm, no one controls other synths with their KB?
|
I don`t really need to transpose that much :) But say i transpose +12 on my KB, it will play +12 on the softsynth. It doesn`t change the octave on the softsynth itself, just the keys pressed like 12 octaves higher.
I control my softsynths with my KB, and theres no problem controlling other synths either, it`s just about finding the right knobs with the right CV`s. Softsynths with a Learn-by-midi-button is a no brainer though. |
