Need help with psychedelic sounds synthesis

Can anyone give me a advise about what kinda synthesis, please?

u can do it all on a virus....
what exactly do u wanna know?
its subtractive synthesis mostly....also u can get some crazy sounds with granular synthesis...

for that elastic, squelshy sound...just modulate osc (sawtooth) pitch with the lfo....
on lfo 1 ..its the 1st and 2nd knob...osc 1 and osc 2...u can also link them..or have them moving in opposite directions etc...
also experiment with highpass and band pass filters..

automation...automation..automation....psytrance would not exist without it...automate everything.....

use the new combfilter effect..i really like it...

for more soundscapy, ambient stuff...use the graintables and wavetable oscillators...again automate stuff....like the osc shape or the index etc...

tape and doppler delay also make some excellent sounds....

Most of the good sounds i make are by accident, whenever I try something in particular it never goes anywhere.

As nutrinoland has already said the key seems to be automation :cool:

I must admit I could do with some ideas on how to make psy sounds, i'm still very much a begginer when it comes to synthesis.........I know the basics but making the sounds I want seems difficult. :confused:

nutrinoland, i'm talkin' about that metallic pluck sound, what sounds wide. How can I do the similar sound with virus? I think it's square semitone envelope maybe? I can't get the similar sound :(

on the virus...use the wavetables...find a metallic sound....

there is a patch u can reference...
download the bank from the Access site called 'numb 0714', then look for patch number 26, its called tekkin...

that uses a similar sound...

also if u use fruity loops., check out the synth called Ogun..it specializes in metallic sounds...

It's strange, but "tekkin" sounds on my "B" terrible wrong. Maybe because it's for "TI"? But anyway - I find other interesting sounds in that bank. Thank you!

I'm using logic, so ugun is not available for me, but I think virus can do all that stuff.
