Stupid. Stupid. Stupid Electronics!

I'm sure this has happened to everyone at some point.

Spent hours working on a really nice bass patch, had the keys and automation perfect in Logic ... then Logic crashes and I lose the lot.

I guess we can't trust what humans created. And I really should have saved every change.

Anyone had Logic crash? I'm using a top spec iMac (quad core, 8GB Ram) with a legit version of Logic. Can't understand.

Edit: Very sorry I posted this in the wrong section. Only just noticed.

Set your logic to auto save every 5 minutes at the minimum and there should also be a backup project option when you reboot logic - there is one for cubase that winds back about 5-10 minutes. Normally after youve done something wicked.

autosave on cubase 5 has saved my ass on more than one occasion

Man I have problems with logic here and there too. It may seem a little extreme, but I hit save after almost literally every change I make. I mean it is almost an OCD type behavior, but not a bad habit to have when the shit goes down. I would suggest not leaving logic open and running for long periods of time, I have noticed that a majority of times it crashes on me it's because I've left the program open and running overnight or something like that.
