Dizzee Rascal 'Holiday' Sound
 

Hello. I'm fairly new to sound design but I've just bought a Virus B to learn. My mate wants to emulate the sound that makes the main hook of the above mentioned song, it's the trance pad sound in the link below, it starts 5 seconds in. I have an idea how the envelopes should sound. I'm thinking sawtooth waves detuned for oscillators or perhaps some unison????? Anyway I'd appreciate it if someone could give me some tips on wave shapes, modulation etc.

I'm off to mess around with it and see if I can create it myself while I wait for a reply.

I got something similar in my tweaking today from scratch. I was right about the wave forms, I'm going to make a multi and transpose it down and whack some unison on and it should make it sound phat.
