Virus TI2 power supply.
 

Hi guys. A friend has just brought my TI2 to Ibiza for me (had it shipped to a UK address as ive had a HDD drive lost in the post :x ) but the guy on ebay has only sent me the bloody mini kettle lead.

I have ordered a new Access TI power cable and noticed on the picture that the mini kettle lead plugs into a 12v power adapter.

It says 'do not use any other power supply other than the one provided with the unit'

Now ive been waiting for this Ti2 for 2 weeks and its going to take at least another 2 - 3 weeks to get the power cable out.

How important is it that i use the Access provided one only. I dont mean to be thick, and i dont want to ruin my equipment, but is it 110 % imperative that i use the official adaptor or can i not go and buy a good quality 12V adaptor from an electrical shop tomorrow??

I'd use the correct supply but that's just cos I don't know too much about electricity.

You can buy one from here for not too much money
