patch edits not stored in multi mode??

you gotta save every edited patch as a single patch.
multimode stores only the link to the patches.

OK that makes a certain but disappointing amount of sense and marks me out as an idiot.:-|

What Virus are you using? Models up to TI work as most other multitimbral synths, i.e. multi patches only store links/volumes/(global fx) for the sounds. Virus TI's multi 0-15 work differently, they store the patches embedded in the multi so you can edit sounds in single mode and they won't affect the multi and vice versa.
