virus TI and midi
 

I want to play on the virus keys to record into the sequencer from the motif xs7 and while recording i want to use in realtime the knobs on the virus to change effects, filters, reso, decay, etc etc. i have connected the virus to midi out from the motif xs. virus(midi in) motif (midi out). so how can i do that? when i play nothing happening into the sequencer.

The way you have connected the synths is to play the Virus sounds from the Motif keyboard.

if you wish to record midi activity from the Virus into the sequencer of the xs7 then you need to connect Virus midi out>xs7 midi in. Even if you do this, you also need to see if the sequencer of the Motif will actually record cc & sysex data.
