Unfortunately you need an active iLok ID to make a SoundToys account. :/ Along with sharing address, phone number, grandmother's niece's cat's maiden name etc.

This is true. You can simply set up an ilok account now without a dongle I believe, the ilok account is not necessarily requiring a dongle.
