Virus TI - Using MIDI Over USB

I want to give Virus control a rest for while and use the Virus in the old school way with MIDI. Using the analog outs on the Virus instead of the USB audio outs.

I want to use MIDI only over the USB on my Virus TI (5.0.8.00) from my MacBook Pro (10.9.3). My DAW is Live 8 Lite.

Even without loading Virus Control as soon as I plug the Virus in via USB to my laptop it wants to use audio over USB as well. Which means there is no sound coming out of the audio outs.

You must turn local control back on.

Have just done that, but no difference;

And as you can see the "USB" icon still appears as audio is still going through the USB outs instead of the analogue outs;

What about audio in? Try the External Instrument rack...
