Other Multitimbral Synths?
Don't know if this is an easy or difficult question, but I'm searching for another multitimbral synth with 16 parts to use it alongside with my Virus C . I mean only pure multitimbral synths, not rompler of any kind.
Do you have some great suggestions in the market (or not so vintage)? Rack or keyboard versions are welcome (even if I need a compact solution). |
waldorf blofeld?

Seems interesting, but reviews are very different. Sometimes they say it's good, sometimes it's not so good. Do you know someting more about it?

I have one to! It's a cool synth, but not so easy to handle the multi-mode. It's a lot better with the OS updates though, and much easier to handle (multis) with a dedicated editor (guess I'm falling for the hardware editors recently). Overall a very complete package, similar to the snow in length of features. Has its own sound, Waldorf, can deliver crazy metallic sounds, wavetable madness of all sorts, alien evolving atmospheres, and everything in between. The interface is actually cool for editing a single, gets fast once you get the hang of it. Cool to have the classic wavetables in there, adds a lot to its value!
