Weird Screen Pixels, Virus TI LCD Error
Hello & Greetings,
Do you know how to fix this? It happened with no reason. I've tried to factory reset OS but no luck. I'm using 5.1.1.0 with Windows 7 64bit. My power cables coming from UPS, no electricty problem. ![]() |
Given the distortion applies only to two blocks of the screen (highlighted)...
![]() ... I wonder if it's some sort of matrix-like problem affecting certain blocks of pixels, or perhaps a bad connection problem on a couple of the nodes. Just a wild guess, though, I have no idea. Maybe you could try re-seating the LCD ribbon cable internally. Is it always the same pixels that are distorted, or does it affect the rest of the screen too? On my old Indigo, the LCD ribbon cable was semi accessible from inside, but looks like the internals of the TI are quite different and you may well have to remove the mainboard before you get to the LCD board. Unsure how the LCD is even connected to the mainboard looking at that photo (and another one), to be honest, or even if it's accessible. Firstly, though, have you queried Access support? http://www.virus.info/contact |
