Stuck button switches, cleaning tips

Thought I would share my experience here as I couldn't find a thread specifically on this topic. I bought a TI2 desktop and 2 of the button switches were stuck and would not depress (ie no "click")....

I have a dead key on my TI2 polar as well and your photo tutorial was a big help - thanks. I'm also trying to replace the LCD cover as it's scratched, but it seems to be screwed in from underneath...
