No offense, but you must be using some lame ass boards. Even the VLZ's had pre-eq and you're right.....most other boards do have a button to toggle for pre-eq or post-eq, etc.

I figure It'll be easier for me to pick up a used NL or SNII on ebay...well obviousily since they're no longer...

You should be able to install banks A and B with no problem. Just download the OS for the Classic, and look for the abm.mid file in the Goodies folder.
