There is quite alot of new software filter plugins, each giving different styles. Here a few that i like:
Grm Tools: Bandpass and CombFilter
Ohmforce Quad Frahmage Pro
Prosoniq Northpole/PiWarp
Also as tomer says reaktor, which will come out best but grm tools is really good aswell.
