As far as I'm aware they are only available as part of the OS update on the Access Site and therefore automatically load straight to ROM banks.
I think you can extract the banks from your Virus with Sounddiver then save them as midi files.
Is this correct?

yes. you have to retrieve them, open a new library and copy the sounds in it. You can also edit them and save them to another location within the memory manager.
