A good advice, make a small ntfs partition on your hard drive and set it as the system page file partition ; this is a special file used by windows when you are working, it's safer to put it on a seperate partition where u put no other data, it should be empty and reserved for system use only.
This reduces the risk of defraging the system page file and thus slowing down the computer.

- Advanced (the last tab)
- Performances (the first option in Win2000)

btw, the guy says at the beginning this is good for 64-128RAM PCs, but believe me, it's also good for higher RAM amounts.... i work this way since a year now, and i see the difference between my PC at work and the one i have at home. They are identical with 384RAM, my work PC is set up this way as described in the link, and it is faster than mine!
