Thanks for the feedback Martyn! You certainly left no stone unturned. have you considered becoming a writer? perhaps for an audioTech magazine?
I already own TC Works "Spark XL" two track editor, which came with some great sounding native plugs, and seeing as I have a Virus, would have no need to add the softSynth version, so it looks like I am leaning towards the UAD-1, as I am really in need of some good quality dynamics processing (My DBX comp/gate is just not cutting it), and what really pushes me in the UAD-1's direction is the difference in price. Over here it is an extra (AUD) grand for the powercore!
