Time to check the manual... ?hih.
Just assing selected cells to different tracks and add effects to those tracks. For example kick on track 1 with hard compressor and EQ, snare on track 2 with some reverb, hats on track 3 with some chorus and reverb, etc.

The thing is, when I'm working in Battery at the moment, I'm only using the 4 master effects in Cubase and don't know how to access loads of them as is the case when you are working with an audio track.

Master effects? Good grief man! Use track effects. I'd also advice that you add master effects in a sepperate program like in SoundForge and remember to use reverbs as sends so that you can manage with one reverb insted of billion reverbs.
