Hmmm....unfortunately my advice probably wont be what you want to hear, but just incase, I will impart with my wisdom

For best results achieving a 'real' bass sound.....just use a bass guitar!

Simple, really......If this is not an option, try something like a Motif or Triton, or something like HALion, or Reason Sampler (NN19) etc

The Virus would be the last place I go looking for a 'real' bass sound...

So, how did you find my advice? Gosh, I knew you wouldnt like it!
