I'm looking into getting a Virus in the near future, and have been reading a lot about different sequencers (Live5, RS7000, MPC2000XL, etc), but I think I have just managed to confuse myself.
I know a midi sequencer can record pitch bend, aftertouch, etc., but can they record the settings for unison, chorus, reverb etc? I know for unsion the Virus unison NRPN/RPNs, but to me it doesn't look like any of these sequencers can record NRPN/RPN data. I could be very confused though.

I'm looking at this from more of a live performance angle than a studio angle.
If the sequencers can't record these parameters would it be better for me to record audio instead of midi?
Any insight is appreciated!
