Any of you guys (DS) got a Motif series synth with a PLG150-DX (DX7 FM) plug-in board in it?
How do you think it compares to the original? better? worse?
BTW - Its all DS's fault
his ranting on about the DX7 and giving links to mp3s got me messing around with FM based samples (FM EPs in particular) and its got me hooked again (to think detox at the end of the 80s turned out to be a waste of time...
)
Maybe Im just suffering from VA overload and need a change. Spent nearly an hour and helf messing around with bass sounds across 3 va synths, a rompler and Reason and never quite getting what I was after - picked up my bass guitar for the first time in a couple of months - 10 mins later I have the part recorded - I'd forgotten how rich the tone is on a real bass
