OK, crash course in Yoda for you Matt.
You're not too far off really.
Yoda is wise (and old) and often guides Luke Skywalker (the young, Jedi Knight, protagonist of the movies) much like a kung-fu sensei would his pupil. He is a bit of a smart ass.
His speech is in English but a bit confounded, such as:
[i]"Seek the dark side of the force did young Anakin."[/]
Yoda is bad-ass with a light-sabre (laser sword) and bounces off walls doing flips while kicking the shit out of people. He also is a very powerful Jedi Master and has strong telekinetic abilities, enabling him to tear the clothes off of young, gorgeous women at night clubs...I mean...throw objects at his enemies while fighting.
