Yes, absolutely it does. Guilty of it at one point, but my list of gear is locked as of the post above, until I release my first album that is.

Also, I don't necessarily think that you need to be a MASTER of a given synth (hardware or software) in order for it to be useful to your purpose.
If you use it, and you like the results, and you feel the money was worth it, then play on!
