The virus is plugged by USB port, the software is installed and works good (all midi signals are sent and received).

My problem is the following :
When i play with more than 8 tracks on Ableton, some sounds are usually cut which is really boring. I've tried to cut all effects (delay reverbs in 1st) and all polyphonies and automations after. The result is better but there are always some quick cuts.
I think this problem can be caused by sounds which ask lot of virus ressources but i would like to have more precisions about that. Isn't it a midi trouble?

Do you know this problem when you write your tracks and how do you do when this problem happens?

Thank you for your help.
This is a known problem caused by limited polyphony/voices of the Virus. I own the little brother of the Ti Desktop the TI Snow, which comes with "just" one DSP instead of two, sohalf the power of that TI Desktop modell.

The Ti Desktop has 80 voices max and if your multi-patches are using the DSP a lot (effects) "note-stealing" beginns quite early.

In my TI Snow manual the are several tipps to avoid this effect. Can't quote them all, but I think the TI Snow manual (page 35+) is included in the 2.7beta Software available at www.access-music.de (see other thread in this forum).

The Virus TI Snow has several features which are considerably more demanding of the available DSP power
than others, and this can become apparent much more quickly in Multi Mode. Once you hit the upper limit
by playing more notes than the Virus can play at one time, then consdidered ‘note-stealing’ can occur, an
effect which can be quite noticeable in certain arrangements.
If you find you are running out voices too quickly, you could take a closer look at the patches you are using,

and seeing if they can be optimised in any way.
Tipps given for the Ti Snow to cut down complex patches...

Check and avoid:
- Unison Mode (Common Menu)
- Analog 1-4pole (Filter Menu)
- WavePWM or Grain /Formant Complex (Osc1/2 Menu)
- Reverb
