As the Access Virus TI allows you to layer 16 parts as one sound – would it be possible to say borrow lfos and envelopes from several parts and use then in another part. For example, so in part one you could have 6 envelopes and 9 lfos instead of the usual 3 lfos and 2 envelopes.
Another idea would be to have more sources in the mod matrix like oscillators (useful for multi operator fm )as a source – so you could connect anything to anything else like in a modular synth but with out the cables.
Has Access ever thought of using expansion boards for adding major new features – rather than having to buy a whole new synth ever couple of years?
I asking all this as I think the Access Virus TI has so much under the hood and so many types and options for lfos and oscilators that it is dying to be used in a semi modular way. The more control and routing options you have in terms of modulation the more you can do with sound – something I read on either this site or on the Virus TI site – its modulation that makes the Virus produce great sounds.

Would the new features mentioned above require firmware opering system updates or new extra dsps and hardware?
