Default Chinese Democracy!!!

I just had the (very) guilty pleasure of listening to the 'new' Guns n' Roses record. Possibly the most over-produced album of all time!

For those of you 'normal' folk who haven't followed this saga, here are a few interesting facts about the album .....

- Record label Geffen offered Axl (Rose) a US $1m incentive to finish the album....in mid 1999!!!

- Shaquille O'neal was a guest rapper on one of the tracks. Surprisingly it didn't make the cut, neither did an epic Brian May guitar solo....

- Guitar wielding freakster Buckethead had a chicken coop erected in the studio for his comfort (?)

- Strangely Moby is a credited producer on the record :P

- A New York Times report puts the total cost of producing the album at US $13 million!!!! A million bucks a song.

But was it worth it !?!? Well, no, of course it wasn't. Think my last EP cost AUS $2000, excluding cigarettes and farmyard accessories....
