In general synths aren't made for piano sounds, as well as piano aren't made for synth sounds
I remember that their is a usuable piano patch within the TI presets, but as far as I can tell this will not meet the requirements of a pianist, so in cases I need a piano sound tend to use a PCM based Soundgenerator like the Fantom XR instead.
