Hello!

This is how it works for me (TIOS V3, Ableton Live 7.0.14, XP PRO SP3):

• VC 3.0: “Patch/Utility” -> “Config” -> “Input/Output Configuration“ -> “USB Audio Mode”-> “3 Outs / 1 Input”.
• VC 3.0: “FX 1” -> “Input” -> “Mode” -> “Static”.
• Live 7: Load a sample into an audio track -> “Audio To” -> “X-Virus TI” -> "1/2-Virus TI".
• Press Play -> Happy sidechaining.

If you hear nothing at all please verify which input mode is selected, especially if you use the factory input presets:

“FX 1” -> “Input” -> “Mode” -> “Static” = Hear the sidechain signal immediately.
“FX 1” -> “Input” -> “Mode” -> “Dynamic” = Play a note to hear the sidechain signal.

“FX 1” -> “Input” -> “Atomizer” -> “On” = Play a note to “atomize” the sidechain signal.

Also make sure that your sidechain signal can pass the cutoff...
