Depending on what you are trying to achieve, pop the KP3 either before the input stage... or between your output and monitor stage.
Other than that, I don't understand the question lol. I've used a KP3 + Synth for live purposes before. The synth output went into the Kp3 and then to the monitors. So live modulation
